In 2019, “This is NOT About My Dead Dog”, had a revival production at the Borderlight International Theatre and Fringe Festival.
Toy Theater CLE
Back in the summer 2015, me and my collaborator Mike Geither started developing a toy theater show.... what's toy theater? Great question. For us, toy theater is an exploration of performance for intimate audiences through creating a full theatrical production on a miniature scale with vintage toys and various household "junk". With toy theater we have learned how to turn "junk" into magic and bring toys to life; leaving the audience with a sense of childhood nostalgia and inspired creativity. We toured our Toy Theater show, "The Events of the Warren County Fair as Observed by a Young Astronaut" into people's homes, doing the full performances on table tops from 2016-2019.

The Events of the Warren County Fair as Observed by a Young Astronaut A Brief History (Sort of)…
How do I even begin? Mike had the idea to create a toy theater piece and little did he know my affinity for vintage toys and miniatures... Throw the amazing Karin Randoja (director and dramaturg) into the mix and you've got "The Events of the Warren County Fair as Observed by a Young Astronaut" lovingly known as "the Fair Play". Written collaboratively by Mike Geither and Amy Schwabauer, developed with and expertly edited by Karin Randoja. It took a year of traveling back and forth between Toronto and Cleveland for 'the Fair Play' to come to life. And now Mike and I have been touring it ever since... We've performed on tables all over the place- Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Toronto, Hamilton, Halifax, and Charlottetown- who knows where will go next!
Currently, we are no longer touring the show but I have high hopes it will make a comeback in 2022!
